Olmsted Specialty Foods originated in the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York.  In 1890, on the shoreline of Otisco Lake, a father and son team named Orson and Buster Olmsted, founded Olmsted's Homemade Ice Cream & Lunches.  What started out as a rolling food parlor, eventually lead to a popular food stand in the community of Amber New York.

 

 

Orson and Buster were well-known entrepreneurs offering tasty artisan lunches and unique crafted food and snack items.  Known for great taste and exceptional food quality, they choose only the best ingredients, many of which were purchased from local farmers, dairies, and general stores or merchants.   

 

 

Created in the rolling parlor and food stand, and passed down through five generations of Olmsted family recipes, we are excited to offer a flavorful blend of herbs and seasonings to enjoy with your favorite meat, poultry and vegetable items.  We'll soon be adding more specialty food items for you to try.... stay tuned.
